Fast Food Confessional

Name the people that you know who are addicted to fast food – yourself included.  The chances are that you will need more than your 10 fingers to name them all!  The truth is that we have become a generation of people who tend to rely on fast food for a lot of our meals.  Though we know in the back of our minds that this cannot be good for us, our lifestyles can’t help but make us gravitate toward fast food, right?

Think again.  We can kick this fast food habit – if we want to.  That is the message that Fast Food Confessional is trying to get across.  The blogger is a self confessed fast food addict and he wants to share his journey as he tries to kick this life long habit.

  8. Used to be hooked on Taco Bell and McDonald’s. Now I can’t stand either since I transitioned to raw food. It is just a matter of transitioning a little and seeing how much better you feel, having more energy etc. Then you kind of get hooked on improving! A good way to start is drinking more water in place of your soda, juice, starbucks etc. Get rid of the sugar and caffeine drinks.

  9. Fast food is not always harmful. It’s a matter of how much a person intakes. McDonalds is one of the bigggest fast food resturants that temps a person because they are everywhere! People don’t reallize how harmful it can be and how eating this food everyday effects the body. I think if you like eating fast food you should only eat it once a week.

  10. I totally agree with this blog. I became ADDICTED to fast-food in college when I didn’t have a lot of money or time… so I got hooked into the great flavor and no nutritional value meals at these fast-food places. This lasted for about a decade until I started reading blogs like this one and at http://www.illuminategym.com. Thank you so much for the blog and keep them coming.

  11. That is true. In these days when life is really busy, we can no longer think of cooking. Fast food is convenient and delicious. I guess I will stick to it for some time.

  12. My son in college is a fast food junky. That is not a good thing. It just means that we have a looming medical emaergency. We are talking obesity with its many complications and tranlates to a bigger health care buget, not enough medical personnel to take cae of our unfit population. Life styles have to chage and chage big time. We need to abolish soda drinking. Just soda pop alone has many health problems including kidney failure for those who never ever drink water in their life time – believe me there are there amongst us.

  13. I quit on fast food. It wasn’t easy, but still the best choice for me. I know lots of addicts who wouldn’t stop eating fast food for nothing.
