When I was going through this blog, an old memory flashed in my head. I was a sophomore in college, and we were taking a long exam for our humanities class. One of the items required us to write an essay of at least 500 words. I was ecstatic. I preferred (and still do) essay exams over drills. My friend, who sat next to me, was devastated, though.
