Being a single mom these days does not carry the stigma that it used to many decades ago. Indeed, there is much good to be said about the woman who can raise a kid (or more!) on her own. While I have to say that I still believe in the family as a whole unit, there are some circumstances wherein one cannot avoid being a single mother and I cannot help but admire those who are able to do so successfully.
Perhaps that is why I find the blog Single Mom In The City to be so interesting. Blogger Nicole Nicholson says that she does not consider herself as a “mom blogger,” and categorizes her blog as a personal journal. All I can say is that you are in for one interesting read about life in this blog.

Hi Nicole,
I thought I would just say “Hi” and wish you well. It’s true that being a single mom is one of the toughest jobs in the world (I should know)!
Single Moms deserve more than just the one Mother’s Day.
This is my note for all the single moms… I dedicate Father’s Day to my Mom
