One of my favorite pastimes is people watching. I remember when I was still in the university. I would go to this place we called The Lagoon. It was basically a swathe of lightly forested land with a pond in the middle. There were numerous paths where all sorts of people passed by. I would sit quietly with a book, read, watch people, and read some more.

There are times when this kind of activity leads you to knowledge or insights that you would never discover otherwise, and these insights give you a different sense of awe and peace. This is what I felt while browsing the pages of Average Mortal Radio, a blog that offers a look into the life of a person living in a small island community. I really cannot fully describe the feeling that you get from this blog. You should see for yourself.

The Blessed Bee

In the last several years, it seems to me that spirituality has gotten more attention than it usually does. Perhaps it is due to the increasing awareness of man that there is something greater than himself. Perhaps it is because of the influence of movies and other media. Whatever the reason is, it is now more common to see and hear about people seeking for spiritual fulfillment.

Naturally, there are so many ways by which this can be attained and for The Blessed Bee, her spirituality lies in the idea that she is a Witch. In her blog of the same name, she is quick to point out that she is not a Wiccan. For those who are interested in these ideas, you might want to pay her blog a visit – you will be in for an interesting journey, to say the least.

She Squared

Reading about how others see life and living could be quite an interesting endeavor.  Of course, it all depends on how the writer is able to play around with words and ideas so that the reader will be engaged.  Of course, the concepts and stories presented also have some bearing on just how interesting the blog could be.

If this is the kind of reading that you prefer, then I recommend visiting She Squared, a “personal blog with alternative lifestyle emphasis directed toward the GLBT community.”  The blog was launched only recently but there is already a lot of content which can make you crack a smile or bust your seams with laughter.

Healthy Burritos?

Burritos, Enchiladas, and Pizza.

Sound yummy and sinful? What if I tell you that they’re actually healthy after all?

Cedarlane Natural Foods has its own network and fanbase for people who just looooove those healthy Enchiladas.

Made of all-organic ingredients, if you are too busy to grab a handful of beans to bake yourself, and if you’re tired of your bland 15-minute boiled vegetables and daily dose of fried sin, I mean, fried chicken, then amble over to Cedarlane Natural Foods’ Cedarlaneoholics blog, and see for yourself whether there may well be a better alternative to your old, bland, food lifestyle.

Life On A Southern Farm

It’s almost the end of the week and I am feeling the tiredness start to get me in its grip again.  This happens almost every week – and I am sure that many city dwellers like me feel the same way from time to time.  In moments like these, I feel the urge to get away from it all and just go back to country living.  For many, it simply is not possible.  Yet there are some ways we can at least have a glimpse of a laidback and simple life.

Thank God for blogs like Life On A Southern Farm.  Written by “GA. Farmgirl,” this blog allows its readers to relax a bit and have a laugh as they vicariously experience life on a farm.  Read about her animals - who think they’re human - and her family - who are really human - and feel more relaxed afterwards.
