If you are into movies, you may find the latest Filipino breakout film, Ploning, something worth looking forward to.

Ploning stars Judy Ann Santos, fondly called “Juday” by the Filipinos. She not only stars in the film, she also produced it.

Ploning is a showcase of the Philippines’ beauty and Filipino talent. Not only is Miss Santos an award-winning actress, the movie also shows one of the most pristine and untouched parts of the Philippine Archipelago: Cuyo Island.

Among this group of islands, the world-renowned celebrity hideaway Amanpulo belongs. So you can imagine the quality of the beaches.

Ploning.com is the press release blog of the movie. For logos, news, and updates about the movie, for scoop and all other info, head on over to the Ploning.com blog now!

The blogosphere is rife with tech-crazed men and women who blog. But what sets Tonet’s Daily apart is that not only is Tonet’s blog “dressed” in a yummy theme, which she made herself, it is also a very entertaining read.

Tonet has links to areas in her blog with game widgets where you can kill a lazy hour on PacMan and more, lyrics to your favorite songs, posts on Filipina celebs, her art blog, where she showcases her graphic art masterpieces, and even a section with prayers in them.

If you want to join her Viral Linking campaign, she has a section for it too.

If you’re up for a great, entertaining read with the info beef to back it up, head on over to Tonet’s blog now!

Front Row Dress Circle: No-holds-barred Hollywood Commentary

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (1 votes, average: 1 out of 5)

If you want hard-hitting Hollywood commentaries sans the qualms and the considerations for tactfulness, you can grab your daily dose of gossip juice from Front Row Dress Circle.

In this blog, Wendy Reid doesn’t hold back on her opinions regarding some issues surrounding movies, Hollywood and music. From commentaries on Heath Ledger’s death, to a highly impassioned empathy for Patrick Swayze’s battle with cancer, trust Wendy to not hold back on her opinion on things that matter to her the most.

The blog design is generally clean and yummy: browns, grays, with a Maple leaf centerpiece. This is a nice contrast to the passion in Wendy’s entries.

Surely, you’ll be visiting this blog daily from now on!

Old School for the New Year

Pop culture blogs are a dime a dozen. What then, makes Tim’s “Old School” blog a cut above the rest of the pop culture bloggers?

Is it his incisive yet laid-back style? The banter? The kick-butt layout of his blog?

Well, his site has just two posts as yet, so it’s still a wait-and-see for this new blog. But I think Tim’s blog has promise, based on his own self-description of it:

You, my friend, have stumbled upon my new blog. This blog is kind of a work in progress, but I am sure it will develop into something pretty special if you give it a chance. Please come back and check us out as we evolve and please leave feedback. I welcome and encourage feedback and intend to address feedback on a regular basis in my postings. More →
