This is my dream: to work from home full time. I already do a lot of freelancing work during the first half of the day, since my “real” job entails working from early afternoon to late evening. However, I still have not found the right opportunities to work full time at home.
That is why I was quite interested when I saw this submission e-mail from the blog Work from Home: A Pinay’s Project. This blog contains information on how you can start promoting your services as a freelancer. While it is a very new blog, with only several posts as of now, I think that if the blogger keeps it up, the content will attract a lot of freelance-wannabes like me. Why don’t you check it out if you’re thinking of freelancing yourself?

When I was going through this blog, an old memory flashed in my head. I was a sophomore in college, and we were taking a long exam for our humanities class. One of the items required us to write an essay of at least 500 words. I was ecstatic. I preferred (and still do) essay exams over drills. My friend, who sat next to me, was devastated, though. While she could write reasonably well, it took her hours to come up with 500 words.
Looking back, I realize that a lot of people are like her. Writing is not natural to everyone. Some need assistance in this regard. And that is what The Essay Doctor specializes in. This blog is a very useful tool if you need to learn more about writing. I even bookmarked it myself!

In the old days, people found a job they liked and stuck to their career for the rest of their lives. That was the norm back then. Today, it is harder to stick to a single career and you see more and more people going through a career shift in the middle of their lives.
And that is exactly what is happening to Aimee Juarez, the author of Journalism Rehab. Quite obviously, she is transitioning from a career in Journalism. Into what? That’s for you to find out when you visit her blog. Despite the title – which may give you the notion that there would not be much content for journalists – there are actually lots of insights and practical info that can be used by journalists, journalists-to-be, and ex-journalists.

Personal blogs have come a long way since they first become popular. For many personal bloggers, their blog is primarily a venue of self-expression. Along they way, other purposes are met, one of which is to make friends and find people of the same interests. For some, a personal blog is a way to promote their activities as well.
Such is the blog of Jackson Bliss, a published fiction writer. From the title alone, Water & So(u)l already catches one’s attention. The blog’s content is a varied mixture of his experiences and work. The blog is multi-lingual, catering to those who read/speak English, Spanish, and French. A very interesting read, to say the least.
