Have you ever wondered why some children seem to have no sense of values and are undisciplined these days? Go back to how they are being raised, and you’ll probably get your answer. Every year, when the New Year begins, people start making resolutions. Some people tend to be more spiritual in an effort to start things right. They – or maybe I should say we, as I think I am part of this group – make an effort to change for the better and dig deep within themselves.

If you are going down this path for 2010, SpiritFlow With Josh Williams is a good place to start. It is a blog where spirituality is made real for you. It addresses practical concerns in practical ways and at the same reveals the spiritual side of things. Josh Williams passionately believes in his calling – to offer spiritual guidance to others. Through his blog, he is reaching out to a wider audience. Take a look at his insights and you might find yourself off to a good start this year!

Remember The Words

Remember what words? Human beings place great stock in the power of words. We have so many sayings and clichés that we encounter on a daily basis. For Christians, though, there is nothing more powerful than the words that come from God; the words written in the Bible. As such, meditating on God’s word is an inherent part of the Christian life.

Remember the Words is a blog that offers meditations and devotions that people can use to learn more about God. It also offers a lot of insights, again Bible-based, that can help people to apply spiritual principles to their daily lives. One good thing about this blog is that it is not all theory – there is a lot of practical information to be found here.

Washed By Water Through The Word

I don’t really think that I am a religious person, but I would like to think that I am in touch with my spiritual side. I grew up in the Christian faith and I do get a lot of strength and inspiration from reconnecting with it. Just the other day, while I was waiting for my turn at the doctor’s office, I realized just how much listening to devotions and spiritual musings help me.

Blogs like Washed By Water Through The Word could help when one needs such spiritual nourishment. Now I know that this is not for everyone, but those who share the same faith, or are at least open to reading about Christianity and its tenets, will certainly appreciate this blog. The blog is very text heavy but the insights are worth it.

The Love Commandment

Watching the news and reading it online sometimes gets sickening. After a while, you just get tired of all the violence, the illnesses, and all that negative stuff. It makes me think of that song “all the world needs now, is love, sweet love…” Cheesy, but theoretically, it is apt for our situation, isn’t it?

Anyhow, that’s what I was thinking about when I cam across the blog The Love Commandment. It is actually a spiritual-religious blog that offers a lot of insights on Biblical principles and how you can apply them in your life. I found the posts interesting, although I have a feeling that some people who are averse to all things “Christian” might not find the blog to their liking. All I can say is keep an open mind – you might just pick up something life changing.
